The room temperature felt chillier than I would have liked, forcing me to stay wrapped up longer than necessary. the heating system seemed sporadic with its on-and-off patterns. the lack of adequate light-blocking options made sleeping in too difficult with early morning sunlight flooding the room. With low ceilings, I bumped my head a few times, requiring me to navigate with more caution than I’m used to.

Make sure to request extra blankets for added warmth, especially in winter as the heating may not be fully controllable.

Despite the clean environment and decent breakfast options, the lack of proper customer service left much to be desired.

I had an amazing time exploring the city from this charming guesthouse, as it was just a pleasant walk away from the stunning Holyrood Park and some incredible landmarks like Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile, making it a perfect base for my weekend strolls.
